We are a multicultural practice with many members of our staff speaking Portuguese and Spanish, and among our dentists and hygienists, we also have fluent speakers of French, German, Korean, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

General Dentists are responsible for the overall treatment and management of your oral care, as well as the coordination of services with dental specialists.

Dr. Paul Dobrin, D.M.D.

Dr. Paul Dobrin, D.M.D.

Co-Owner · General Dentist

Dr. Paul Dobrin, D.M.D., is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. As co-owner of Dental Arts Davis Square, he has been practicing dentistry for more than thirty years. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, The American Dental Association, the MetLife Dental Advisory Council, and the American Academy of Clear Aligners. He is a Platinum Provider of Invisalign clear braces, and a frequent mentor for aspiring dental students, providing shadowing opportunities at the practice. Dr. Dobrin's expertise in the field and ability to connect with patients and help them feel informed and comfortable with their treatment is reflected in the numerous patients who have been returning to his care year after year. When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is a physical fitness enthusiast, an inept but hopeful gardener, and loves to travel.

Dr. Ramesh Izedian, D.M.D.

Dr. Ramesh Izedian, D.M.D., is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. As co-owner of Dental Arts Davis Square, he has been practicing dentistry for more than twenty-five years. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society, and an alumnus of the Pankey Institute and LVI Global Institute for Postgraduate Dental Education. Dr. Izedian also partners with Diman Regional Vocational-Technical School to provide students in their Dental Assisting Program an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and mentorship in a modern, innovative dental practice. His enthusiasm for keeping up to date with the latest advancements in dental technology can be seen in the state-of-the-art equipment used throughout the office. Dr. Izedian enjoys keeping active, doing anything outdoors, and seeking travel adventures with friends and family.

General Dentist

Dr. Violet Xiaopeng Hu, D.M.D., is a graduate of Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Prior to that, she earned her Master of Public Health from Tufts University. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. Dr. Hu enjoys all aspects of the dental field and believes in compassionate and gentle dental care. She spends quality time with each patient so she can help them make the most informed decisions about their oral care. In her spare time, Dr. Hu participates in mission trips to underdeveloped countries where she provides free dental care. She also enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Our Specialists

Endodontics & Periodontics

Dental specialists are dentists who receive additional training in a specific dental specialty, above and beyond their general dentistry degree. Endodontists specialize in performing root canal procedures to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth rather than having to remove it. Periodontists specialize in the care and treatment of the gums and supporting structures, including the bone supporting the teeth and the soft tissue that lines the entire mouth.

Dr. Alan Tang, D.D.S.

Endodontist

Dr. Alan Tang, D.D.S. is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry, and received his post-graduate training in Endodontics from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Master of Science Degree, also from Boston University, for his research in Bone Engineering. With clinical interests in Bone Biology and Immunology, Dr. Tang has been awarded several grants and fellowships for his research and has published his work in numerous medical journals. In his free time, Dr. Tang enjoys playing tennis and jogging along the Charles.

Dr. Zeina Nseir, D.M.D.

Periodontist

Dr. Zeina Nseir, D.M.D., is a graduate of the University of Montreal School of Dental Medicine. She completed her residency, earning a certificate in advanced graduate study in Periodontics from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Dentistry and Oral Biology from Boston University's Department of Molecular and Cell Biology. Prior to her dental school education, Dr. Nseir attended the University of Montreal School of Nursing. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Nseir applies the most up-to-date techniques in the management of complex and advanced gum diseases. Other areas of her surgical practice include maxillary sinus elevations, bone augmentation procedures, gum graft surgeries, and placement of dental implants. Dr. Nseir is an active runner, enjoys playing a myriad of sports, and playing piano.

Our Hygienists

Registered Dental Hygienists

Dental Hygienists are preventive care specialists, dedicated to preserving and maintaining oral health, and educating patients to develop healthy home-care habits. Registered Dental Hygienists (R.D.H.) are specially licensed by the M.A. Board of Registration in Dentistry and have passed a rigorous process of National Board Certification, Regional and/or State Clinical Examinations, and documentation of required healthcare certifications.

Katie Parsons, R.D.H.

Katie Parsons, R.D.H.

Katie Parsons, R.D.H., graduated from the Bryman Institute with a Certificate in Dental Assisting, then decided to further her education and pursue her dream of becoming a Dental Hygienist, graduating with Honors from Middlesex Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. As lead hygienist, Katie has also completed additional training and certification in the administration of local anesthesia used in deep scaling procedures. Katie enjoys meeting new people and connecting both personally and professionally with her patients. When she is not in the office, she is happiest spending time with family and friends and finding adventure with her dog, Rocky.

Mandy Fan, R.D.H., B.S.D.H.

Mandy Fan, R.D.H., B.S.D.H.

Mandy Fan, R.D.H., B.S.D.H., graduated with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene at Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at MCPHS. She holds a current CPR license and is certified in administering local anesthesia. Mandy has experience in treating patients from each age group due to her community clinical work. She hopes that each patient will have a comfortable visit based on their specific needs and leaves with a smile on their faces. During her spare time, she likes to hang out with friends, take work out classes, and try out new places to eat!
